Sail for Gold - Try a Boat Event - Sunday 3rd June 2012

A great introduction into the sport of sailing
Carrickfergus Sailing Club, in conjunction with Belfast Lough Sailability and Carrickfergus Sea Cadets, is holding a Sail for Gold event on Sunday 3rd June 2012 at Carrickfergus Harbour to support and promote the sport of sailing in the run up to the forthcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The event is free of charge and will encourage would be sailors to Try a Boat and get out on to the water. The event will coincide with the Olympic Torch Relay which will be travelling through Carrickfergus and will support a wide range of activities available on the day.
Venue – Carrickfergus Harbour , Date - Sunday 3rd June 2012, 10am – 2pm
No experience necessary! Buoyancy aids provided

Irish Boat Jumble


WANTED – YOUR JUMBLE
Clear out the loft and garage and bring your unwanted Boat Bits to be sold on the Club Stall.
Make a list of what you are selling and the asking price (plus the bottom line price you are prepared to accept!)
There will be a commission to the club of 20% of the selling price of goods sold on the Club stall.
As usual Drew McClenaghan is giving up his weekend to organise this for the Club – thank you Drew – he will be at the Club on Friday evening and Saturday from 12 noon and will be happy to relieve you of your items.
ACCESS ON SUNDAY 22nd APRIL – ARM BANDS
Arm bands are available from the bar, 2 per Family Member, 1 each for all other categories.
You will have difficulty getting through the gate of the Club on Sunday 22nd without the arm band which identifies you as a member.
