Congratulations to Cruising Secretary Norman Grant. Yesterday, Sunday 27th, the cruise up to Belfast Harbour and then up the river Lagan as far as Cutter's Wharf was a great success. Norman's organisation was terrific and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable day out. Well done to Norman and all his helpers, who I won't attempt to name individually. Keep an eye on the Club's website for future cruising events that Norman has planned. After yesterday's experience I suggest that early booking will be necessary.
George Taylor was taking a stack of pictures during the day and they are now available in the new gallery

Joe McEvoy
"An honest man lies here at rest,
As e'er God with his image blest;
The friend of man, the friend of truth,
The friend of age, and guide of youth:
Few hearts like his - with virtue warm'd,
Few heads with knowledge so informed:
If there's another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this."
Joe's ashes will be scattered at sea in front of the Club on Saturday, 26 April.
All boats should be on station by 2:00 pm.
A buffet will be provided afterwards in the Club House.
