For anyone looking for a fix of Volvo Ocean Race the TG4 website is streaming a half hour program every Saturday, and at the end of each month they are also doing an hour long recap program. It starts tomorrow at 10am on http://www.tg4.tv/
If I can figure out a way to download it as it streams it might be available to watch on the big screen during the afternoon

Volvo Ocean Race
Anyone other members taking part in the Virtual Volvo Ocean Race on http://www.volvooceanracegame.org/ ? Join the Sailing Club group if you want to see where the other members are placed.
Also if anyone can tear themselves away from the virtual race to check out the positions of the real boats I've knocked this up to allow the current positions and tracks to be displayed in Google Earth http://www.carrickfergussc.org/VOR2KML/

Bit short notice I know, but the intention (technology permitting) is to show the start of Leg 1 of the Volvo Ocean Race on the big screen in the club. The start time is 13:00 with coverage running from 12:45. Hopefully we'll have the video streaming from the VOR web site with the race tracker running as well.
