Ruffian National Championships

Three Ruffians from the club made the trip down from Carrick to the National Yacht Club in Dun Laoghoaire for the Ruffian Irish National Championship last weekend. Daisy and Scorpio made the journey by sea while Carrageen went down by road. Scorpio finished 12th overall which also gave them 3rd in the Silver fleet, and Daisy finished 16th overall and 6th in the Silver fleet. Carrageen finished 2nd overall to Diane 11 from the Royal St George. The final two races were nail biting with the overall championship winner being decided on tie break as both boats finished on 12 points, with Carrageen finishing the final race only 3 boat lengths behind Diane 11.
